ARROW Flowerpot The original idea of the conceptual design of Arrow is the twisting of bodies, frozen in a movement. This idea is integrated in the design process and shown in the crystalline form of the flowerpot. The twisting of the upper side generates a distinctive form, which tapers either up or down depending on the viewing angle. Based on this perspective modifications depending on the viewing angle the pot appears either tall and slight or short and broad. Made of a natural, durable, lightweight fiber cement (100 percent recycable, Size: 35/35/70cm, Available in two colors (Eternit Grey, Antrazith)
BEST FRIENDS CHAIR Experience is being processed, brought to shape. In Mostböcks native city of Vienna, which is, along with its many benefits, also known for its not always likeable idiosyncrasies of its inhabitants, people paraphrase exceptionally vile behaviour among people close to each other with a veriety of colourful expressions. "A stab in the back" is one of them. Best Friends Chair part of the permanent collection of the MUSEUM OF ARTS AND DESIGN (New York City, USA)
DARK SIDE OF THE MOON Carpet The moon, with its uneven, scarred surface is a conceptual approach to the project and at the same metaphor for the transferred to the flat surface perforation, in the textile surface patterns and exciting unusual revisions possible. Size: DM 200 cm, Vorwerk premium carpet, color: Antrazith, perforated, lasercut SEE EXTERNAL LINK TO DEZEEN
DEUCE Twin-seat on Aluminum-cantilever with "soft spring-effect", shock-absorbing and very comfortable. Made of Aluminum (10mm), polished and natural anodized. Plywood seatshell/white bleached. Size: 180/45/88cm
FLAXX Chair The seat shell and frame are made of 100 percent recyclable materials. The Chair is a hybrid design which offers the comfort of a free-swinging chair as well as the functionality of a conventional four-legged chair. The novel structure of the support frame and the combination of advantages from both designs is a contemporary interpretation in both form and function. The seat shell is made from natural fiber mats, which are molded into a stable three-dimensional form by pressing multiple layers of the material. SEE EXTERNAL LINK TO FLAXX SHOP:
FOLD .01 Wall mounted lamp. 38,5 x 38,5 cm, 11 W LED, 2700 -3000 K Colours: White high gloss, Black high gloss
CUBIK Range of Flowerpots Made of a natural, durable, lightweight fiber cement (100 percent recycable) Size: 30/60/90 cm. CUBIK S is based on a reduced form that opens up manifold options. The user can arrange the CUBIK S in infinite possible combinations. Hence, it is possible to adapt the planters to the specific circumstances of the ambience, to create several variants, and to introduce ones own creativity when it comes to different configurations. Cubic is part of the permanent Collection of Chicago Athenaeum, Museum of Architecture and Design, Chicago, USA
GARCIA The concept of the "Garcia" chair (MAK-Austrian Museum of Applied Arts)tranfers information in a visible and strong form - a logo - that looks like a “tattoo” on human skin. The “tattoo” shows part of the MAK-logo, directly painted on the “wooden” skin of the seat shell. Garcia is a stackable chair. Garcia is part of the permanent Collection of MAK (Austrian Museum of Applied Arts/Contemporary Art) Vienna.
HARVEY CHAIR Elwood P. Dowd (James Stewart) is a middle-aged, amiable (and somewhat eccentric) individual whose best friend is an invisible six-foot, three-and-one-half-inch tall rabbit named Harvey. As described by Dowd, Harvey is a pooka, a mischievous magical creature from Celtic mythology. SEE EXTERNAL LINK TO MAK - Austrian Museum of Applied Arts/Contemporary Art, Vienna:
K & G The „K & G“ decanter and glas are visible symbols of the quality of Austrian drinking water. Their basic forms have been conceived as plain geometric bodies and are characterized by an archaic appearance. The band-like extension in the upper part of the decanter ensures a convenient grip, while the band’s lower edge indicates the volume the vessel can hold.
MY COUSINS HOUSE Single-family residence with garden. 150 m2 living area, terrace, office, carport. House with controlled living space ventilation (passive house). The residence was designed for doing-it-yourself. Shape, geometry and internal organisation are inspired by the movement of the inhabitants, the sun and the moon. HONORABLE MENTION - THE ARCHITECTURE AWARD OF THE PROVINCE BURGENLAND 2012 SEE EXTERNAL LINK TO DESIGNBOOM:
SUPAGARCIA Permanent exhibition "Light in Public Space", Krems, Austria. Supagarcia is not a lighting object in the conventional way. It is an impossible lampshade, made of a massive 5 m high steelpipe. The special perforation helps the object to look like a lamp. SEE EXTERNAL LINK TO MAK - Austrian Museum of Applied Arts/Contemporary Art, Vienna:
THURNER FASHION CONCEPT STORE Metaphor and Transformation - The draped folds and waves serve as a metaphor for the way in which fabric falls on a womans skin - this is the basis for the architectural unity of the space, which is also reminiscent of a landscape. Transformation was one of the main conceptual approaches in the project. Using a prefabricated double backrest made of wood, a static wave was created by means of duplication and - like a curtain - forms the back wall surrounding and enveloping the room with a sort of vertical landscape - which gives the impression of a second skin with its flowing, feminine structures. SEE EXTERNAL LINK TO NEXTROOM:
TWISTA Twista the innovative design unit for landscape gardeners, landscape planners and creative users stands out due to its unusual form, which contrasts strongly with its surroundings and conveys a dynamic impression. Size: 30/60/60 cm, 60/60/60 cm, Available in two colors (Eternit Grey, Antrazith)
Y³ Resembling a lifesize DNA building block, the polysymmetric Y3 chair tempts its user to experiment with new ways of sitting and relaxing. The basic element, a carbon fiber frame upholstered with foam and neoprene, funcions as a stool or links together to form a couch.
ZEHNZEHN Re-design of a bathroom/kitchen in the heart of Vienna. The bathroom and kitchen-area is designed as one room, buildt around water and divided only by semi-transparent glas-pannels. Material: Cashmere White, stainless Steel, ornamented Glass. UTM - 33U 602010 5340367
